The F.one Trbals have been in for a while now and they are kicking up a real storm!
This 3rd Generation Hybrid kite has all the genius features of a bow kite in terms of its wind range, depower and safety combined with the performance and speed of a c kite.
I’ve not yet heard one person who’s flown one say anything bad about it. At the moment there are already 5 people in Exmouth riding these kites and you can spot them not only by the kite but the smiles on they’re faces whenever you see them.
I rode F.one in 2003 + 2004 and i always said they had it going on but this year they have excelled themselves and put a lot of pressure on all the other manufacturers to pull the’re fingers out.
My prediction is that F.one will be in the Top 3 kite brands by 2007 and they could even be the top. They certainly deserve to be. (Don’t quote me on that unless thery are)
We’ve got 7,11+15 on demo but you’ll have to prise them out of Tids’ hands if you wanna have a go.
As for me, i’m still riding and still loving the sonics for they’re simplicity. But if its performance you lokking for the then the Tribal is all you need!
Laters,
Matt

So here ‘tis,
Just had my first proper session on the duckpond with the 11m and it was one of the best afternoons of my life! The wind was northerly and gusty really gusty! The sonic just goes and goes. I didn’t take an official wind reading but i reckon i it was between 12 and 25 knots of good old cold northerly wind.
I weigh about 99kgs and in the low wind it was real good fun and then in the strong wind it just accelerates and accelerates and i love it!
My first few jumps were huge and i got totally spanked so i just let go of the bar, took a few deep breaths, grabbed my board, picked up the bar and off you go again.
14’s are due in soon and i can’t wait to see how it compares, I’m not expecting it to be as fast and responsive as the 11 but I already know it will be super powerful!

Thats right the 14 is here and available for demo although at the moment its got my name all over it and i’ve not had chance to fly it yet.

It’s supposed to be a little slower than the 11 but have the same size wind range. Early reports suggest that it will get most peolpe going in around 6-8 knots although having not yet flown it i can’t promise that. I can say that having flown the 11m in 12knots and been powered, i won’t be surprised if the 14 does go in 6-8 knots.
Here is a short video courtesy of our friends at Airjam in Newquay showing how the 14 performs in light winds.
I will write a full review on the 14 as soon as ive flown it.
In the meantime it is available for demo with the 11, but don’t forget to ask permision from the other half before you try it cos you will want one!
