Well for years i said that surfing wasn’t for me and i would much rather go kitesurfing but about 6 months ago i got hold of a board and had a go. Needless to say i fell in love with it and have wanted a board of my own ever since. So i finally bought a 9′6 Cortez and i’m off to cornwall this weekend for the maiden voyage.
So when you see me in the line up feel free to give me some pointers, i think i’ll need all the help i can get!

Well i finished work on Friday night and it was really nice evening so I had a burning desire to go skate the seafront!
So i’m gonna sink some new bearings into my longboard and go cruise it up! Only problem is that at the mo there’s sand on about 80% of the pavements and most of the road is being dug up so i’m gonna have to wait a bit to cruise the beach.
This is a definate sign that summer is only a few weeks away and i think its gonna be a good one this year!
If anyone wnats to come skate then drop me a line on 07709 320579 or call the shop.

Yes its that time again and lifeboat ball is just arround the corner.
It will be held at the pavilion on saturday 14th october. There will be ‘Dancing o kick back’ and ‘Fun Casino tables’.
Tickets are £28 each, if you wanna go Tids usually has a table for as many people as want to sit there. Alternatively if you would like your own table or don’t mind where you sit, you can contact Tina on 01395 270855.
The £28 includes a 5 course meal and it guarantees a night to remember, just ask anyone else who has been in the past and they will tell you your mad to miss it!
If you want a seat on Tids tadble then let us know 01395 223113 or tidders@tadshop.com .
Any proceeds will obviously go to the RNLI but they will probably end up going towards the cost of the new boathouse and 2 new lifeboats for Exmouth. What more of a reason do you need?

The F.one Trbals have been in for a while now and they are kicking up a real storm!
This 3rd Generation Hybrid kite has all the genius features of a bow kite in terms of its wind range, depower and safety combined with the performance and speed of a c kite.
I’ve not yet heard one person who’s flown one say anything bad about it. At the moment there are already 5 people in Exmouth riding these kites and you can spot them not only by the kite but the smiles on they’re faces whenever you see them.
I rode F.one in 2003 + 2004 and i always said they had it going on but this year they have excelled themselves and put a lot of pressure on all the other manufacturers to pull the’re fingers out.
My prediction is that F.one will be in the Top 3 kite brands by 2007 and they could even be the top. They certainly deserve to be. (Don’t quote me on that unless thery are)
We’ve got 7,11+15 on demo but you’ll have to prise them out of Tids’ hands if you wanna have a go.
As for me, i’m still riding and still loving the sonics for they’re simplicity. But if its performance you lokking for the then the Tribal is all you need!

Wouldn’t it be great to have a purely fun kitesurf competition in Exmouth?
We would have events like: Biggest splash, Old skool kit free ride, highest number of rotations (accidental or diliberate), oldest git on the water?, fastest rider, how far upwind can you get? etc etc…………
If you interested then let me know, or if you have any ideas for catagories then tell me.
The idea is that anyone/everyone can enter and hopefully win something rather than just the best local riders cleaning up. It wouldn’t be a demo day where we would get loads of trade members to come and show off the toys, it would just be for fun!
Let me know what you think,

There’s been no wind for weeks now, i just had a whole week off and there wasn’t a single windy day! GGRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Looks like there could be a bit on sunday but i’m working, got the following tuesday+wednesday off and guess what….no wind!
I give up!
I suppose i should teach myself to skate again, then i hopefully Tristan will get off my case!
More posts to come soon.
Oh and by the way, no further progress on the boat although i have decided on the name but that will stay a secret until she floating again!

Long story about my week off and if i get time i’ll tell you all about it.
Basicaly, the floor is in and fibreglassed and the engine is in and been running!
So all i need to do know is re-wire the engine, fit a new steering cable, fit the throttle cable put the seats back!
Not much but i know it will take longer than i expect!
But its getting there and i will be forming a list of people who have asked to come out for a ride, pretty girls first!
I’ll let you know as soon as there is any more news,

Well i’ve booked next week off work and am planning to spend the whole week getting the boat finally finished.
Monday: Dunk the seized steering cable in diesel and leave for a few days. Then take the boat up to Chewi’s workshop for the new fibreglass floor and new gel coat on the engine bay,
Tuesday: Back to the farm, put engine components back together, try and start the engine on a bech just in case theres any problems……………………………..you know there will be, its a boat!
Wednesday: Overcome the teething problems, drop the engine in and reconnect everything.
Thursday: Hope the steering cables has free’d itself up. Re-connect the steering cable and throttle cable. Final checks and then off to the nearest patch of water for firts attempt.
Friday: Honestly??? Probably cursing and swearing and still trying to getb the engine running!
Well, fingers toes and eyes crossed for maiden voyage next week!
Wish me luck ( You know i’ll need it!)
