Where is your inspiration coming from?
Listening to music has always revved me up for a hardcore session whether it be skating, surfing or some violent rumpy pumpy !!!
my bro and i would have tapes for going to the beach “a surf psyche up tape” bands such as TSOL and gangajang, always guaranteed to get us going, always blasted out at full blast
so i though i would compile a list of what gets me going when i am rolling, this will be an ongoing kinda top 20 (maybe more maybe less) sorta thing, keep up at the back this is going to be a rough ride to hell and back !
(not in any order)
- The duane peters gunfight - war with you (you dont wanna war with duane)
- Agent Orange - everything turns grey (hollywell bay late 80’s - smell the crete)
- Tricky - Black Steel (rare that a cover version is better than the original)
- Clutch - impetus (pure rock n roll)
- 59 Times the pain - got it all in sight (just quality punk from sweden)
- TSOL - its too late (think mark Foo RIP surfing big Sunset)
- Black Flag - Rise Above
- Youth Brigade - Did you really want to (die)
- Abrahams Meatplow - swapping haymakers (great for getting tattooed to as well)
- firehose - Brave Captain (Natas, streets on fire, nuff said)
- Alex Reece - feel the sunshine (from physical grafitti - the film that changed my life)
- Coughing up Blood - too fat to skate (you are never too fat)
- The Perv’s - pieces of you (from Bart Sarics epic skate flick - skinned alive)
that will do for now i reckon, this list will be updated as and when
